Sri Venkateswaraa University

Sri Venkateswaraa University celebrated International Yoga Day 2025 on 21 June 2025 under the theme "Yoga for One Earth, One Health." The event was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to promote the importance of yoga in fostering physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members of Sri Venkateswaraa Medical College Hospital and Research Institute, the College of Pharmacy, the College of Physiotherapy, and Sri Venkateswaraa Nursing College.

As part of the quality assurance and academic excellence initiatives of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), the Department Academic Audit Committee (DAAC) meeting for Sri Venkateswaraa Nursing College was conducted on 10 June 2026.The audit was conducted in the presence of the External Expert, Dr. P. Jayanthi, whose valuable observations, professional expertise, and impartial evaluation facilitated a comprehensive assessment of the institution's academic and administrative functioning. The audit focused on key aspects of nursing education, including curriculum planning and implementation, teaching-learning and evaluation processes, student progression and academic performance, clinical training and nursing practice, research and innovation activities, faculty development initiatives, extension and community health programs, infrastructure and learning resources, and quality assurance mechanisms.

As a highlight of the Pongal Celebration 2026, the Kabaddi (Men) intercollege event at Sri Venkateswaraa University brought together students in a spirited display of endurance, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The competition emphasized physical fitness and strategic play, creating an engaging and festive atmosphere on campus.

The World Diabetes Day Program aimed to increase awareness about diabetes, its prevention, and the importance of early diagnosis and lifestyle modification. The event focused on educating the rural community about diabetes and hypertension, identifying individuals at risk, and promoting healthy living practices. Student involvement provided practical exposure and enhanced their community health skills.

The program was conducted to observe the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, focusing on raising awareness about gender-based violence. Students performed a role play portraying domestic abuse, workplace harassment, and social discrimination, followed by a seminar discussing causes and consequences of violence, legal rights, and the role of educational institutions. The event encouraged participants to take collective action toward creating a safe and respectful environment for women.

World Pneumonia Day was observed by Sri Venkateswaraa College of Nursing on 12-11-2025 at Lecture Hall - II, 3rd floor. The event emphasized awareness on pneumonia prevention and management, engaging students in an educational and interactive environment.
